The Shop of Forgotten Stories
With his play I have combined my love of traditional storytelling and theatre. The story is about a storytelling shop-keeper called Mamood nearing retirement and his granddaughter Connie who longs to become a storyteller one day. Connie tries to help Mamood save his shop and retire with dignity by telling stories. The style of the play blends the main plot with traditional storytelling that come alive on stage, with actors acting out the story as somebody tells it.
