The Wind in the Trees
The Wind in the Trees is the title of a vision of poetry that I want to try and share. It's a vision that I find both stimulating and comforting; it's a way of looking at the world as if everything - every little scene and moment and detail - is poetic, as if it can be described in a few simple lines of poetry. It's like the experience that stimulates Japanese Haiku, but without any strict adherence to form. It's like Gestalt psychology, but instead of seeing patterns in the world around, I see poetry. Or feel it. Well, both at the same time really. I will record it below so you get the idea but I'm not sure I can convey the simple beauty of the experience, of the small poetic moment; a spiritual moment. But I want to try and I want to share it. Because, if you want it to be, poetry is in everything.
